About Your Visit

On this page, you will find information concerning:

Appointments

All patients are seen on an appointment basis. For well exams, please call several weeks in advance so that we may accommodate your schedule.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance. A cancellation fee may be applied.

University Pediatrics Association requests that established patients arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment so we can adequately process your paperwork.

If you are a new patient, please arrive at least 30 minutes in advance and fill out our online New Patient Registration Form or bring your New Patient Forms along with you so that we may process your paperwork faster.

Sick Appointments

If your child is ill, generally an appointment can be made for that day. Please be prepared to briefly describe your child's problem so that we can determine how much time to set aside with your provider.

Saturdays and Sundays

During the weekend, a nurse is available between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to give advice and contact the physician on call for you. If necessary, appointments will be made on Saturdays and Sundays as deemed necessary by the physician. There is an additional charge for these weekend visits.

Telephone Calls

For your convenience, University Pediatrics Association has established a voice mail system so our nurses can handle your telephone call withour interrupting patient care. Please leave your message clearly. Your call will be returned before the end of the day.

Emergencies

During regular office hours, please call 911.

For after hours emergencies, please call University Pediatrics Association's answering service at 979-361-5186 and they will contact the on-call physician.

Prescriptions

University Pediatric Association's prescription refill line is available during regular office hours. Please leave your name, your phone number, the name of your child, your child's birth date and the prescription refill needed. Kindly allow 24 to 48 hours for your prescription to be called into the pharmacy.
